This project involved making a problem into a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution. Perched water was creating a drainage and foundation problem a home built on limestone. We pumped the excess water away from the house connected to the irrigation system. Having used drought tolerant plants, they never needed to use municipal water for irrigation.

After: Backyard Native Wetlands with Water Feature using Reclaimed Water. When a surplus of water would accumulated the pond would overflow into the dry creek, soaking into the soils and irrigating trees and plants. Any excess water would flow to an appropriate drainage spot.
